Poinsettia Pavilion Wedding

I have a wedding guest list of 85 and have driven past the pavilion several times and really like the view. I like the idea of the Santa Paula room for the wedding reception but was curious as to where a ceremony would be held? Also, how large is the side patio? What do most people use the patio space for (cocktail hour or is that held in the foyer?)?

Hi Paulina,
The patio outside the Santa Paula room can easily seat 85 and has been used for ceremonies. White patio chairs are provided by the venue and rental of the space is $500. If you would like an arch or other decoration, you would need to rent it from any local rental company. The Santa Paula room can seat 85 auditorium-style (chairs only); however, for dining and a dance area the room would be too small. The maximum seating for dining in the Santa Paula room (if piano is removed) would be 80 with 10 chairs per table. Eight chairs per table are preferable, but ten can be used. There would not be enough space for a dance floor with 8 dining tables and chairs. The Santa Paula room rents for $900. To include space for dining and a dance floor area, renting the larger Ventura room is recommended. The director at Poinsettia Pavilion was very helpful, so if you have more questions, don’t hesitate in contacting her (805) 648-1143. Congrats!
